My Lil' Stitcher

Look what I got! I got it at Tuesday Mornings for $7.00! I didn't know they made sewing machines so small! I have tried it out, but I'm not very good at getting it going straight.

Does anyone have one of these? If so, do you have any pointers or tips? Also, to tie off your knot, the instructions say to flip your fabric or paper over and stitch over the end again, but that isn't so easy. It doesn't have a reverse button.

Sand

I'm so glad we got my son a sandbox! He has the best time diggin' in that thing! We actually got him one of those turtle sandboxes for free through Freecycle.org It is a forum based site that lets your join a yahoo Freecycle group near you. I get emails that tell me when people are either offering things or wanting things. Well I happened to see that a lady was getting rid of her son's sandbox since he'd outgrown it. My husband picked it up that very afternoon. All I had to buy was some sand to go in it! How awesome is that?!
Anyways, here is a sketch that I did from 52 Sketches, 52 Weeks. It had lots of layers, so it gave me a chance to use up some of my patterned paper that I wasn't so fond of. Which interestingly enough, I love it on this page. I wasn't crazy about the polka dots paper until I acutally used it. I've had it for probably 7 or 8 years. haha.

New Seaside SVG Files for Sale & Lindsay's Freebie Search

It's week 8 of the digi freebie search with the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff DT! As always, Lindsay has designed a special stamp for one of us on the design team. On Thursdays, one lucky DT member will have her special stamp available to download free for a whole week. And guess what?! You've found it! This is my week to host a freebie! I told Lindsay that is kinda hard to find stamps that are for boys. So she designed a wacky robot stamp and this awesome rocket stamp!

The rocket digital stamp is this week's freebie!
Click here to download the Rocket Digital Stamp.

Now, for the card. I colored Lindsay's stamp with my Bic Mark Its. I cut out a wavy background piece. I used silver star stickers to give it the milky way feel. The moon is a freebie from ScutFiles.com. The font in the title is Typeset. I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches and the challenge from 356 Cards (use the sentiment: "You Can Do It!". I accented the rocket and moon with stickles! Don't forget to check out the links below to see the cool Design Team Blogs and what they've done this week!

Happy Birthday Champ!

I created this card for a little boy's birthday party that we went to Saturday night. I think the colors came out so cute! The baseball is a free svg file from The Frugal Crafter. The stamp is little Ian from the Greeting Farm.

I then created this little bit of word art to go on the inside.

Anniversary Card & WordArt!

So here is a card that I created for my mom and dad's 29th wedding anniversary. Yes that is a picture of them (don't they look great?!) They'll be 50 next year! Circle Swirl Found Here.

This is the sentiment that I put on the inside! It is a wordart design freebie by Bethany. You can get it here.

What a Big Boy!

Here is a page that I created of my son, Travis during his potty training days, which thankfully, are now over! He'll probably kill me someday for scrapping these, but oh well. I'm the mom. It's my job! The stickers that I used were found on clearance at a local scrapbooking store for under a dollar! The background is a bracket that I had leftover from a sketch that I did a while back. I hated to throw it away, so it sat in the way for a long time until I finally found the perfect place for it!

It's week 6 of the digi freebie search with the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff DT! Here is a card that I created for my SIL who is about to have a baby in a couple of days. I used Lindsay's Doodle Aster stamp. It is only $1.00!

This fabulous sentiment is word art that I snagged for free from Elegant Word Art by Bethany. I just found her blog the other day and I've spent a lot of time thumbing through it snagging a lot of her freebies. I'm still not through! She has tons of great sentiments arranged as word art that are great for cards and scrapbooking!

Just Horse'n Around!

I created yet another LO using some more characters from Treasure Box Designs! I have a soft spot for farm animals as it is. I love denim too! I got this paper a long time ago at the Dollar Tree dirt cheap and haven't ever used it. Finally I found something that it was perfect for!

I created this white picket fence svg to go with the layout! Enjoy!

To give the tractor a dirty look I used Tim Holtz distressing inks!

Explore! Under the Sea!

Here is another layout that I created to sell on ebay! I just adore these sea creatures from Treasure Box Designs. They are so fun to create! Anyways, I created my own coral and seaweed to go with the designs. You can snag the freebies here: Coral SVG Seaweed SVG

The diver was a freebie that I got from another blog. I just spent like 15 minutes looking for the blog that it came from, but I apologize i could not find it. If I do, I'll let you know!

Blog Award from Lora!

Thank you so much Lora for your kind words! Here is what she said: "I love seeing all of Tamara's projects - she has a nice mix of digital stamping and cricut stuff." You're such a sweety Lora! I love your blog too! I check it daily! I am also supposed to share 7 things about myself!

1. I am a Christian. I go to Hickory Grove Church of Christ. I have been attending there since I was born and I love that congregation like my own blood. My husband was converted shortly after we started dating and we've been faithfully attending ever since.

2. The only man I've ever kissed or otherwise ;) is my hubby. We started dating when I was 16 in May of 2000. He joined the Marine Corps in 2003, we stayed together (did the whole long distance relationship thing) and then we got married in November 2004, I moved to NC for a year until he was deployed to Iraq. We had our first child (Travis) about 2 years later. Then when Travis was 4 months old, he was deployed and spent the next 7 months in Iraq. He got out in Dec 07 and we're back in KY now! Whew...what a ride!

3. I think I have a slight tendency towards OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). I get it from my dad (who can't help but count telephone poles as he drives, hehe). It has seeped it's way into my crafting. When I learn a new craft, I'm very obsessive over it and often let it consume my life until I have exhausted it.

4. I am the type of person that when I find something new to love (ex: my Cricut, the Twilight Series, ect. ) I can't stop talking about it. My friends and family think I'm nuts. I'm trying to convert everyone to love the same things that I love, but I'm not sure why I do this. I should just leave them alone.

5. I LOVE TWILIGHT! That probably says so much about me, and by saying that you'd think I'm a tween who screams and cries at the sight of Robert Pattinson. But I actually think he's less actractive when he's not part of the movie. So I guess I'm really in love with Edward, not Rob. haha. I've read through the entire series (the books are better than the movie, btw) two whole times. I've seen the movie at least 5 times and counting....

6. Ok...something quirky....I hate popsicles when you get down to the wooden stick. Something about touching it or putting it in my mouth freaks me out. It's like the equivalent to scratching your nails on a chalk board (although that doesn't bother me).

7. I got struck by lightning when I was a teenager. I was sitting on my parent's back porch in a metal lawn chair reading a book. My mom was standing on the edge of the porch. There was an electrical outlet behind my chair with an extension cord laying on the ground between us. The lightning shot past my mom, hit the cord, jumped to my chair, ran through me and then to the electrical outlet. Forcing me to fly up out of my chair and nearly off the porch. WEIRDEST FEELING! I did not get hurt at all, but my mom saw the whole thing. She FREAKED out. The only effects that I felt were my hands were tingling and had red dots on them and my whole body felt charged and jumpy. haha. So that's it! My friends tease me that that was where I went wrong...

Be Silly!

Here is another LO I did to sell on Ebay. I had a LOT OF FUN with this one! I just adore the animals from Treasure Box Designs. If you haven't tried them yet, don't be afraid to, I just gave it a go and it was so easy! By the way, you can try before you buy! They give away a freebie every Tuesday on their blog! They even include instructions on chalking and drawing the eyes and noses! So easy! I love putting these little guys together, it is so much fun to watch them "come to life" as I add personality to each one. The grass at the bottom of the page is a freebie from Pigtails & Papertrails. The font that I used for the title is called Mandingo (it's a fav. of mine!).

Cupcakes &...Bikers?

It's week 5 of the digi freebie search with the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff DT! Here is a card that I created using Lindsay's fabulous cupcake tree stamp that can be found for only $1.00 here. The frame that I put on the front of the card was a freebie from somewhere (I'm so sorry I don't remember where). Don't forget Lindsay is having a fabulous July Special: get a free stamp for every $5 you spend!
Once again, Lindsay has designed a special stamp for one of us on the design team. On Thursdays, one lucky DT member will have her special stamp available to download free for a whole week. Click on the links below to check out the cool Design Team Blogs and see who has the free stamp this week!

Now for your Thursday freebie! I created this Harley Mama premade scrapbook page to sell on ebay. (Or I may keep it for myself, if I ever learn to ride, LOL). I found these awesome HD stickers and embellies at Big Lots on clearance and had to use them. Then I was totally inspired by this flames freebie!

I created a "Biker Babe" title to go along with the page. So it is your freebie!

After I posted this, I had a friend mention that she wished she could use it for a boy, so I created this one to go along with it! Biker Dude SVG

Fireworks Mama!

Well my son absolutely adored the fireworks the other night. I think this is the fastest I have ever gotten a LO together after taking the photos. I took them Sunday night and had this layout done by the following Monday evening. The title is a freebie from Denise. The border along the bottom was a freebie from the Craft Edge Forum found here. THe fireworks placed randomly about the page are found here.

Swing for the Sky!

Here is yet another scrapbook page that I did! I am finally getting caught up on all of the pics I've had laying around for quite some time. These however, are pretty recent. I took them a couple of weeks ago when Travis got a new swing set! I used Lora's swing set freebie!

You know what is funny though? I have found myself taking pictures to go with my svg files instead of making svg files to go with my pictures! LOL. I see a file and I think oooh! I need to make some pictures of travis doing this or that so that I can make a page with that file! haha. So here you have it. I wanted something fun for the background, so I used a shape that I got from Paulo called Interlace Circles. I just blew it up to a 12x12 size and used it as a mesh!

Summer Time in the Kiddie Pool

Here is a LO I did of my son in his kiddie pool. He is wearing clothes in a few of the pics b/c I caught him getting in it without asking and he was fully dressed. LOL I guess he got hot. The title Summer Time was another freebie created by Mary at SVGCuts.
The kiddie pool shown here was a freebie from Lora at The Scrapbook Lady. I thought it was just perfect for this layout. I had a pic of Travis sitting on the edge of the pool just like this so I cut him out and pasted him onto the pool that I cut out! Another thank you to Lora for ispiring me to do some more scrapping. Like she said, many of us collect all these files and never really use them. So she is challenging us to create one layout a day for the month of July. Well I doubt I do that many. I don't have that many pics to scrap at the moment, but I'm going to do as many was I can.

Got Dirt? --Boy's LO made with ScutFiles Freebie

Hey there! I am so excited! I finally scrapped these pictures that I've had for a year now! It is hard to believe that my son was only 18 months old in these pics! He'll be 3 in October. Every time I get in the scrapping mood, I pull out these pictures, but always wind up putting them back because I have a hard time thinking of how I want them done. Then inspiration hit the other day when I found that ScutFiles.com had posted this truck as their freebie! It was PERFECT! I had to cut it out!

So after I did, I decided it needed some dirt. The truck was just too clean. So I used some special scissors to cut out the jagged dirt. Then I used some distressing ink (my fav new toy) and some chalks to dirty it up. I used some pop dots and there you have it a hill for my truck to climb on.

You should have seen my son playing w/his trucks behind me while I made the LO. He kept getting up to "check out" the truck as he was playing. He thought it was so cool. I couldn't keep his hands out of the glue.

Treat yourself....to a freebie!

It's week 4 of the digi freebie search with the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff DT! This card was made using glittery paper from My Mind's Eye. The frame was an svg cut that I got from somewhere online (sorry I can't remember where). The bubbles in the background are a freebie from Scrappinfun. The shopping bags and butterfly digi stamps are from Lindsay. They are only $1.00 each! Also Lindsay is having a fabulous July Special: get a free stamp for every $5 you spend!
Once again, Lindsay has designed a special stamp for one of us on the design team. On Thursdays, one lucky DT member will have her special stamp available to download free for a whole week. Click on the links below to check out the cool Design Team Blogs and see who has the free stamp this week!

San Fran Baby!

Wow I've never put this many pics in a post before! Here is the scrapbook that I created for my MIL's trip to San Fran! I apologize that a couple of the pics are blurry, but I had already given her the scrapbook before uploaded the pics. Look out tomorrow for some freebie SVG files that I made for the scrapbook!
